Fished West Bay this morning from 630 to 830 over shell in 2 to 4′ of
water. Caught Trout between 18 to 24″ on bone Super Spooks and
char/gold/pearl Fat Boys. Ended up catching 11 or 12 Trout on this spot
before moving over to the coves out of the wind. Jumped out of the boat
over mud near a deep gut in about 4′ of water and continued to catch Trout
to 18″ on plum Assassins. I probably had about 25 Trout today before I had
to call it quits. At 1pm I picked up my client and off we went back out on
the bay. Didn’t do any fishing just running and learning.
Trout caught on a slow retreive keying in on Mullet and streaky water.
Water all along the south shoreline from Old Sportsmans to Sea Isle
definatly fishable and holding fish. North shoreline look like Chocolate
milk from Alligator to Meacoms. Found alot of diving Pelicans working the
area around Caranchua Reef.
